What material are the headband holders made out of?
They are 3D printed using ABS plastic (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene), which is the same type of plastic that is used to make Legos™. There are also rare earth neodymium magnets that are nickel-plated (to resist corrosion), inset into the surface of the displays and stands.
Will these headband holders melt in a car on a hot day?
ABS plastic has a glass transition temperature (when it starts to become rubbery and pliable) starting at approximately 221°F (105°C). [Wikipedia] The inside of a car on a 100°F day can get up to approximately 153 °F after six hours [Good Calculators], which is below the glass transition temperature for ABS. While we don't recommend that you leave your headband holder in a hot car on a hot day, it shouldn't suffer any ill effects from doing so.
I saw a display circle that had magnets on the top and sides for the headband. Where can I get one of those?
In designing these headband holders, we went through many iterations before arriving at the final design that we are shipping as the standard. We found that the magnet on the top wasn't actually engaging or holding the headband at the top due to the curve of the headbands but the magnets on the sides were holding on securely on their own. We will offer other magnet configurations (top only, no headband magnets, etc) once we start selling displays and stands as separate parts.
How do I clean my headband holder?
A slightly damp microfiber cloth (such as an eyeglasses or phone screen cleaning cloth) will clean off any surface debris easily.
My headband holder arrived damaged / appears damaged or I accidentally damaged my headband holder. What should I do?
We're so sorry to hear that your headband holder was damaged. All of our headband holders are 3D printed and assembled by hand so there may be small differences from holder to holder but overall The Headband Stand maintains a level of quality that we can be proud of in every headband holder and part that we ship.
